Photo's and Blips of the Weekend

Hope everyone had a fun weekend! I'm trying my best to figure out how to get photos in the blog where I want them to be. I received some advice about cliking and inserting, but it didn't work. When I click it doesn't do a darn thing. Boo hoo. Now I'm trying to do it in the edit html section. I can't believe I'm doing this. Me, in edit html? I can't edit the clothes in my closet, let alone something on the computer! Okay, if this is going to work, the picture below this should be of my friend Melanie photo bombing a picture I took of my husband Clay on the left, and her husband on the right. We went out to dinner and then for drinks Friday night. As you can see, Melanie was all revved up in a party mood!

This next photo is when Mel & I met up the night before and decided that we needed to go out the next nite with the guys. Seems like we drink a lot, but I promise we only drink on days that end in a y. Just kidding. hahaha

I just tried to upload a pic of Clay in our boat when we were about to take off for a Sunday spin. Not too far though because boat gas is even more expensive than car gas! Anyway, it wouldn't let me upload the pic except when I clicked (small) because it said I'd exceeded my pic limit? Huh? Why does these things not happen to others I know? It's always something!!!

Now I'll post to see how it looks....

XOXO,
Penny

Hi Penny, Thanks for taking the time to read my little ol' blog. I'm sitting around recuperating from knee surgery trying to think of things to write about..I didn't think my knee was that interesting! LOL
You look like a very fun person. I could see you as a rich rocker chick! I would absolutely love to have Stacy and Clinton work their magic on me too!

Penny, I think we were cut from the same mold! I wear the same size and feel like you do about most brands. I used to be a big Talbots fan but I've given them up except for the odd basic here and there. They do have very good quality. I had a store that was just perfect for me. It was called Forth and Towne but it didn't last long. It was an offshot of Gap...an upscale store for women in the 40ish and up range. They had nice conservative but fun clothing. Several of my very favorite pieces in my current wardrobe are from there. I was so disappointed when they decided to close the stores. They didn't have many open (I was lucky since I live in the Bay Area--home of The Gap--to have one near me!) and they didn't really give them a fair shot if you ask me.
I find stores like Chico's and ColdwaterCreek to be a little too old lady for my taste. I'm 50 so I'm not exactly young but I don't want to look like I'm off to play bingo at the senior center! LOL
I have a huge wardrobe of jeans and t-shirts too. I find myself wearing more button downs with jeans these days. I like a nice fitted shirt. I find the fitted style to be much more flattering than a loose shirt. I can't wear those babydoll styles either. They look like maternity shirts on me. Stacy is always telling women like us to go with the empire waist which is fine as long as the bottom portion of the dress or blouse is not too full.
We'll have to compare notes more later!
TTYL, Bridget

I agree that J.Jill is a good store but I have hit or miss luck there. I did better there when I was really into wearing baggy clothes. They seem to be fond of the boxy, baggy look with a lot of their garments.
It's too bad you don't live in SF anymore (I guess not for you!) I love the shopping in San Francisco. I go to San Fran to get my haircut but last time I was there (the weather was GORGEOUS) my shoulder was hurting too much to do any shopping. So sad! : (

Hi Penny! I tried leaving you a message earlier but Blogger was down. Anyway, I'm on a MAC, and doing the click and drag thing with pics on posts didn't work for me. If you're still having trouble (but it looks like you've got centered pics down!) just email me and I'll try and explain how I do it. I don't think it's the easiest way, but it's the only way I've found that works!

Hi Penny.
Did you figure out the pics thing yet? Once you Add Image and the pic is at the top of your post you have to cick on the pic and drag but it's not a simple drag. You have to drag it by holding it and going to the "down" arrow on the right bottom of the blog screen.

When it brings you down to where you want to place the pic you put the cursor (which I believe just looks like a little vertical line) in the spot you want it and release the mouse button.

I hope I explained it correctly and I hope it helps.
